Provide quality care and supervision to children in a home setting. Work on a team-service basis.
Job Description / Responsibility:
1. Interested to receive intensive training
2. Complete paperwork accurately and on time (in-service forms, availability forms, etc.)
3. Record bath-rooming, snack, nap and other daily activities
4. Communicate openly with coworkers (e.g. share information, be willing to accept feedback)
5. Complete daily tasks with direction
6. Physical caregiving: includes napping, feeding, bathrooming, etc. Requires lifting children, equipment and/or supplies, getting down to child level, and sitting on the floor. Requires constant visual and auditory monitoring of children
7. Prepare bottles, snacks, and lunches for children as needed
8. Move around with children at their pace and be actively involved with children rather than just watching them
9. Encourage children to explore their environment
10. Participate in individual, small group, and large group activities with children
11. Know the difference between appropriate and inappropriate behaviors
12. Help children make a smooth transition between home and Center (at arrival and departure)
13. Respect each child as an individual (e.g. be sensitive to individual needs and routines; avoid discussing an individual child’s behavior with anyone in front of children; laugh with children, not at them)
14. Promote children’s growth by engaging in activities in the following categories:
a. Physical/Gross Motor – indoor and outdoor (e.g. swinging, hopping, bending, turning, movement games)
b. Fine Motor (e.g. manipulatives, playdough, writing, drawing)
c. Social (e.g. dramatic play, water, sand, blocks, positive group interactions)
d. Emotional (e.g. help children identify feelings, promote dialogue)
e. Cognitive (e.g. science, math, reading, games, understanding and thinking skills)
f. Self-help (e.g. dressing, eating)
g. Language Development – verbal and non-verbal (e.g. talking, singing, describing, questioning, listening, reading, story telling, facial expressions)
h. Creative Arts (e.g. music, poetry, fingerplay, art drama)
Job Nature: Full time
Educational Requirements: Minimum SSC pass.
Experience and Training Requirements: Experienced and Trained will get preference
